The journey of Play Forever began with a simple yet powerful idea: to bring joy and opportunity to the youth of underserved areas in Toronto. It all started when a group of passionate individuals, deeply moved by the disparities in access to recreational activities, came together with a shared vision. Fueled by their commitment to making a difference, they set out to create a space where every child could thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances. Through hard work, determination, and the unwavering support of the community, what began as a humble initiative quickly blossomed into a full-fledged nonprofit organization. Over the years, we have grown and evolved, expanding our reach and impact, but our core mission remains unchanged: to provide young people with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed on and off the field. Today, as we reflect on our journey, we are filled with gratitude for the countless individuals who have joined us along the way, each one playing a vital role in shaping the story of Play Forever and the lives of the children we serve.

As Founder and Lead Director of Play Forever. Over the past 8 years, Mohammed has rapidly progressed within municipal government and community organizations to oversee Community Relations, Community Development, and Communications portfolios. 

Mohammed has established a reputation as a natural relationship builder and stakeholder advocate and has played an instrumental role in securing the approvals, public support, and stakeholder buy-in that’s necessary to advance critical projects which in turn, improves community well-being. He has a record of forging community partnerships and activating corporate sponsors to achieve community/organizational goals for Play Forever.

Mohammed considers himself a motivating and engaging manager with a history of leading teams of staff and volunteers to execute performance and program delivery goals.

Our organization is uniquely led by youth and seniors from the same populations we serve. The Board of Directors plays a vital role in making sure that the heart of PF keeps on beating. Their dedication to our mission is what has allowed us to provide life-changing programming and services for over 100 youth in the Greater Toronto Area.
